1972 Morrison Knudsen purchases facility in Boise, ID and establishes the Rail Systems Group.
1994 MK Rail Corporation established as a subsidiary of Morrison Knudsen.
1993-1996 MK Rail acquires various locomotive component supply companies (Motor Coils Manufacturing, Touchstone, Power Parts Company, Arrowsmith, Power Systems, Clark Industries, TMS).
1996 MK Rail separates from Morrison Knudsen and incorporates as MotivePower Industries Corporation and names the locomotive manufacturing group Boise Locomotive Company as a subsidiary.
1996-1999 MotivePower Industries acquires additional locomotive supply companies (Jomar, Microphor, Q-Tron Ltd., G&G Locotronics).
1999 MotivePower Industries merges with Westinghouse Air Brake Company and is called Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corporation (WABTEC). Boise Locomotive Company's name is changed to MotivePower, Inc.
